What things can help you ‘take a stand’?
1. Don’t give in to that old sin nature. Allow the Holy Spirit to be in control.
2. Think through what you will do in difficult situations.
3. Memorize verse which will help you choose what is right.
4. Think: If these people are truly your friends, why are they hassling you to do something you don’t want to do anyhow?
What examples are given for situations where you need to take a stand?
1. When someone wants you to do something you know goes against what God says in the Bible.
2. When what you do would hurt or embarrass someone.
3. When someone wants you to disobey the person in authority.
4. When someone encourages you to accept a dare that you know is wrong..
What do you do when you are eyeball to eyeball with an enemy?
1. Consider yourself dead to sin and therefore unwilling to yield to temptation.
2. Don’t keep thinking and thinking about the temptation. Move on to something else.
3. Get outta there fast!
