Amoxicillin |
Give for strep, can cause anaphylaxis, watch kidneys, N/V and thrush may occur, if you have a "Cillin" allergy, you may have a cephalosporin allergy as well. |

Treatment of infections, systemic infections of the CNS, UTIs , acute pelvic inflammatory disease. Watch nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity. Check hearing and renal function (BUN and creatinine). Increase fluids, smaller meals. Most importantly teach report signs of tinnitus or hearing trouble. |

Ciprofloxacin |
Treatment of anthrax, UTIs grams positive and negative infections and bacteria that causes enteritis. CNS effects (HA, dizziness, restlessness and confusion.) Causes candidal infections. Tendon rupture (no exersize until ruled out, report tendon/joint pain) increased risk of c-DIFF, seizures, phototoxicity. Increased risk of confusion, psychosis, visual disturbances in elderly. Abdominal pain and N/V/D |
