-Render first aid if necessary and call for emergency resources as needed

Where does the documentation get sent by the on duty BC in the case of an accident
The on Duty BC (or Deputy Chief if the BC is involved in the accident) is responsible for reviewing and following up on all accidents within their Battalion and routing them to the BFO Staff Captains
Who decides the need and nature of remediation in the case of a vehicle accident
The supervising Deputy Chief
Who will decide if the accident was preventable or non-preventable
The DSO (not in existence right now) and/or the BC
All preventable accidents will recieve a minimum punishment of a ___

The DSO (if filled) will respond to ALL vehicle accidents between the hours of ___
Weekdays 0800-1700. After 1700 hours, the DSO will only respond if injuries are involved or its of a peculiar nature
Vehicles involving a third party require the following documentation
-The city driver, FD personnel riding as passengers (or witness to FD accident) shall complete a report in the form of a city memo (form 100-40C) detailing the accident and addressed to the City attorney. The body of the memo should NOT include the drivers rank. This memo is confidential and will be treated as such by the being FWD from the BC/Bureau Chief in an envelope via the chain of command, via the BFO staff Captain. Staff captains will then forward the confidential memo directly to the city attorney
-Complete the top portion of the Vehicle Accident Follow up report form (form 240-58)
Vehicle accidents NOT involving a 3rd party require the following documentation
-SJFD Vehicle accident report (form 240-13)
-this form is not required on a 3rd party accident because a vehicle accident report will be filled out by PD
-Complete the top portion of the Vehicle accident follow up report (form 240-58)
Non third party accident packets must include
-BC's Cover memo
-SJFD Vehicle accident report (240-13)
-Original Vehicle accident follow up report (240-58) to the appropriate GSA facility
Third party accident packets must include
-BC's cover memo
-PD's Vehicle accident report
-Original Vehicle accident follow up report (240-58) to the appropriate GSA facility
-Record recipt and date of forwarding of driver and employee witness memo (100-40C) to City Attorney
