|
1) 1 physical complaint
2) Either a) not explained by GMC or substance or b) when GMC does exist, complaints are beyond expectations 3) Distress/impairment 4) at least 6 months 5) not faked or purposefully produced |

Criteria for conversion?
|
1) At least 1 voluntary motor/sensory function deficit
2) Psych factors are assoc. 3) not faked or purposefully produced 4) not from GMC, substance, or culturally approved bx 5) Distress/impairment or calls for med. eval 6) Not restricted to pain or sex. dys. Cannot occur within somatization dis. |

Criteria for General Pain?
|
1) Severe pain is paramount and calls for clinical attention
2) Distress/impairment 3) Psych factors play a key role in pain 4) not faked or purposefully produced 5) Neither dyspareunia, nor mood, anxiety or psychotic disorder can explain the pain Pain Dis. is NOT a diagnosis |

Criteria for pain dis assoc with psych factors?
|
1) Meets criteria for general pain disorder
2) Psych factors account for pain 3) Any GMC is secondary 4) Cannot be within Somatization dis. |

Criteria for pain dis assoc with both psych and GMC?
|
1) Meets criteria for general pain dis.
2) both psych factors and GMC contribute to the pain. |

Criteria for hypochondriasis?
|
1) Misinterpret. physical sxs as caused by serious disease
2) Reassurances do not reduce preoccupation 3) Not delusional or concerned with appearance 4) Distress/impairment 5) at least 6 months 6) Not better explained by GAD, OCD, PD, MDE, Separ. Anx., or other Somat. Dis. |
