A mound of fatty tissue that covers the joint of pubic bones in front of the body, below the abdomen and above the clitoris.
Mons veneris
One of a pair of sponge-like regions of erectile tissue which contain most of the blood in the clitoris during clitoral erection.
Corpora cavernosa
Fold of skin covering the glans of the clitoris or penis; aka clitoral hood.
Prepuce
The area in the labia minora that contains the openings to the vagina and urethra.
Vestibule
Anatomical structures resembling legs that attach the clitoris to the pubic bone.
Crura
Cavernous structures that extend downward along the sides of the introitus and swell during sexual arousal.
Vestibular bulbs
Glands that lie just inside the minor lips and secrete fluid just before orgasm.
Bartholin's glands
The uppermost part of the uterus.
Fundus
The uterus has three layers--
1. Endometrium, 2. Myometrium, 3. Perimetrium
The penis contains three cylinders of spongy material that run its length and swell with blood during arousal--
1. & 2. Corpora cavernosa, 3. Corpus Spongiosum
Cylinders of spongy tissue in the penis that become congested with blood and stiffen during sexual arousal.
Corpora cavernosa
The spongy body that runs along the bottom of the penis, contains the penile urethra, and enlarges at the tip of the penis to form the glans.
Corpus spongiosum
Separates the glans from the body of the penis.
Corona
The cord that suspends a testicle within the scrotum and contains a vas deferens, blood vessels, nerves, and the cremaster muscle.
Spermatic cord
A tube that conducts sperm from the testicle to the ejaculatory duct of the penis.
Vas deferens
The muscle that raises and lowers the testicle in response to temperature changes and sexual stimulation.
Cremaster muscle
Cells that lie between the seminiferous tubules and secrete testosterone.
Interstitial cells
Tiny, winding, sperm-producing tubes within the lobes of the testes.
Seminiferous tubules
A tube that lies against the back wall of each testicle and stores sperm.
Epididymis
A thin, cylindrical tube about 16 inches long that serves as a conduit for mature sperm.
Vas Deferens
Small glands that lie behind the bladder and secrete fluids that combine with sperm in the ejaculatory ducts.
Seminal vesicles
Structures that lie below the prostate and empty their secretions into the urethra during sexual arousal.
