Describe the Id
The Id is present at birth. It is the source of all instincts. It opperates on an unconscious level. The Id seeks to satisfy desires and opperates on the "Pleasure Principle."
Describe the Ego
The Ego operates on the "Reality Principle". The Ego uses defense mechanisms to mediate between the desires of the Id and the Superego.
