Type A- impatient, competitive, easily angered, sense of time urgency, high standards, ambitious, not of theses are necessarily unhealthy EXCEPT hostility


Type B- easy going, relaxes without guilt, plays fr fun, ambitious wit

Define stress and coping

Stress- a negative emotional experience accompanied by biochemical, physiological, cognitive, and behavioral changes directed either toward altering the stressful event or accommodating to its effects



Be familiar with the adaptation level phenomenon and the feel-good, do-good phenomenon

When our wealth or other life conditions improve, we are happier than our past conditions. We then adapt to the "new normal" and must get another boost to feel the same satisfaction. When in a good mood, we do more for others. The reverse is also true, doing good feels good
