Who wrote the book of Proverbs?
Some was written by Solomon and some was not. Various authors contributed to the text.
When was the book completed?
300-400 years of writing going on. Multiple people, some of whom we don’t know. Edited, put together later on. At least one of the writers is not a Jew, based on his name.
The Simple:
A blank grid, with no moral understanding (children).
The Fool:
fool who is stubborn/hard-hearted/spiritually dull/insensitive)
The Scoffer:
The one who not only continues to reject God and His ways, but his “graduated” to preventing others from accepting God
The Wise:
One who has skill in living, based on his understanding that God has created right and wrong, times and seasons, cause and effect. Wise doesn’t necessarily mean that you can instruct others, it means that you are willing to learn!
What is the determining factor for what type of person an individual will be?
Their willingness to learn???
What kind of wisdom is presented in Proverbs?
Proverb: short statement, make one concept clear, intended to change/direct your actions. practical.
Proverbs doesn’t tell you what’s right or wrong, it tells you the options.

wisdom = knowing what the options are they, weighing them out, deciding what is right and what’s wrong.
