Fraction

A quotient of two numbers or expressions

Numerator

The number written in the top position of a fraction.

Denominator

The number written in the bottom position of a fraction.

Improper Fraction

A fraction in which the absolute value of the numerator is greater than or equal to the absolute value of the denominator.

Proper Fraction

Absolute value of the numerator is less than the absolute value of the denominator.

Mixed numbers

An integer combined with a fraction.

Fractions that name the same number.

Multiple

A number that is evenly divisible by a given number.
