My freedom allows me to live for God! Though I can sin, it is incongruous with my position. Romans 6:1-2
Romans 6:1-2; What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
I have been baptized into Christ! Thus, I have been baptized into an unconquerable death to sin. Romans 6:3
Romans 6:3; Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
I have been baptized into Christ's burial, resurrection, and NEW LIFE set apart for God! Romans 6:4
Romans 6:4; We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of light.
Indeed I am united in his resurrection, just as surely as I share in his death. Romans 6:5
Romans 6:5; For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.
Our old self was crucified with him, the flesh brought to nothing, and we were set free. Romans 6:6
Romans 6:6; We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
One who has died is freed from sin. Romans 6:7
Romans 6:7; For one who has died has been set free from sin.
Because we died with Christ, we will live with Him. Romans 6:8
Romans 6:8; Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
Christ has conquered death forever. He will never die again! We are called to reign in life. Romans 6:9
Romans 6:9; We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.
Christ died to sin forever. Now he is free to live for God forever. Romans 6:10
Romans 6:10; For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives to God.
I am dead to sin and alive to Christ Jesus! Romans 6:11
Romans 6:11; So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
I shall not let sin reign in my mortal body. I am IN CHRIST and FREED from those passions. Romans 6:12
Romans 6:12; Let not therefore sin reign in your moral body, to make your obey its passions.
I must present myself to God as I am! One who has been brought from death to life! Romans 6:13
Romans 6:13; Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
Sin has no power over me. I am live under God's unmerited favor and the power he grants me to do his will. Romans 6:14
Romans 6:14; For sin shall not have dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
Now I am becoming like Christ as I live, each moment closer to eternity with Him. Romans 6:22
Romans 6:22; But now that you been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.
God gives free life. The wages of sin, however, is death. Romans 6:23
Romans 6:23; For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
