Carrying Capacity

The largest size that a population can reach in an ecosystem.

population
A group of organisms of the same species that live in the same area.For example, a desert will have populations of different species of lizards and cactus plants.

A measure of the number of organisms that live in a given area.The population density of a city may be given as the number of people living in a square kilometer.
