1980's: He becomes dominate leader of the Communist party. Deng focuses on the economic development, standard of living, and creates order/stability. He launches agricultural reform, industry/urban reform, and gives limited rights/freedoms. |

1926-1928: A military campaign that aimed at bringing all of china under KMT rule. It was led by Chiang Kai-shek. It is viewed positively in China since it ended a period of disorder + started the formation of an effective central government. |
