Usually refers to a reasonably large group of people with a common culture, a territory they view as a homeland, and sharing one or more cultural traits (language, religion, historical experience, etc.)

They tend to identify with one another, feel closer to each other than to outsiders, and believe they belong together.
Define Irredentism?
Irredentism: the desire to incorporate all areas that have been home to ethnic kin within the State’s territory (even if those areas are controlled by other States)
