Step 1:

Position client, face turned away.

Two minute scrub.

Prepare sterile field.

Don face mask.

Don clean gloves.
|

Remove old dressing (maintain sterility of site), and discard.

Don sterile gloves.

Cleanse w/ Chloraprep Swab, using back and forth scrubbing motion, make sure to include catheter and sutures.

Step 9:
|
Allow to dry.
|

Step 10:
|
Apply transparent dressing and label (be certain dressing is totally occlusive).
