Contraindicated for patients with a peptic ulcer disease, urinary tract obstruction or weakness of bladder wall, intestinal obstruction, coronary insufficiency, hypotension, asthma, and hyperthyroidism.
Bethanechol
Contraindicated for patients with glaucoma, intestinal atony, urinary tract obstruction, and tachycardia. Use with caution in patients with asthma.
Atropine
Contraindicated for patients with mechanical obstruction of the intestine or urinary tract. Exercise caution in patients with peptic ulcer disease, bradycardia, asthma, or hyperthyrodism.
Neostigmine
Must be used with great caution in patients with hyperthyroidism, cardiac dysrhythmias, organic heart disease, or hypertension. In addition, caution is also needed in patients with angina pectoris or diabetes and in those receiving MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressents, or general anesthetics
Epi
Contraindicated for patients with low blood pressure.
Prazosin
Contraindicated for patients with sinus bradycardia or AV heart block greater than first degree, and must be used with great caution with patients with heart failure. Use caution (especially nonselective agents) patients with asthma, broncospasm, diabetes, or a history of severe allergic reactions. Use with caution in patients with a history of depression and in those taking calcium channel blockers.
Propranolol
You must be careful using this drug in patients with Myasthenia Gravis and those with electrolyte disturbances.
Tubocurarine
It is contraindicated for patients with active peptic ulcer disease or a history of depression.
Reserpine
Cannot be used on pregnant women (because it is very lipid soluble).
