What is peripheral arterial disease

|
1) Smoking cessation - most important!
2) Statins - goal LDL <70 3) Fibric acid agents - used with high TG 4) Antihypertensives - goal BP of less than 140/90, <130 if has CKD or DM 5) Antiplatelet agents for all patients. Aspirin 75-325mg |

1) Cilostazol (Pletal)
Phosphodiesterase inhibitor that is vasodilatory and antiplatelet Avoid use in HF 2) Pentoxyifylline (Trentall) Reduces blood and plasma viscosity, inhibits neutrophil adhesion and activation Second line agent |

1) IV pentoxyifylline
