-streak ovaries, amenorrhea

-inc risk of coarctation of aorta
What is the common presentation of a child with Fetal Alcohol syndrome?
microcephally, short palpebral fissures, cardiac anomalies
-joint defects, thin upper lip
(1st 3 months of pregnancy is most critical time!)

Batteries and magnets
-sharp objects are also more worry
What are the drugs to avoid in children?
Fluroquinolones: affect joint & tendons
Tetracycline: tooth discolorations
What is the most common form of child abuse?
neglect: parents ignore cry of baby, inability to recog child's cry
