due to sun exposure

-benign tumors(moles)
-precancerous lesions

What is Basal Cell Carcinoma?
rarely malignant
caused by sun exposure(tanning oil)
Sx- nodules with blood vessels on surface
Dx- biopsy
Tx - removal
What is Squamous cell carcinoma?
more serious
-albinism
Sx- ulcerated flat red area
Dx - biopsy
Tx- removal
What is Melanoma?
malignant! - very serious
-uv exposure
-higher social class (john mccain)
-related to intensity of exposure

-unrelieved pressure, friction, etc

Sx- pain, inflammation, erosion
Dx- culture for infection
