Carry pacemaker ID card at all times
Take pulse X 1 minutes, same time everyday, record Know the rate set for pacemaker No pressure to generator Inform HCP’s or pacer (MRI) prevent damage or affect pacer function Antitheft devices, airport security, metal detectors Take all meds as prescribed |

Carry ID card at all times No constriction or pressure on generator No rough or strenuous activity Avoid magnets Sit or lie down immediately if dizzy or faint to prevent fall injury if ICD discharges. Have family members learn CPR. Report symptoms of dizziness, blackouts, rapid pulse, fainting to PCP. |
