Encloses the cell and moniters what goes in and out of it

Cytoplasm

Made out of water and nutrients, and fills the cell

Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER)

Carry stuff around the cell and has phospholipid bilayers

Rough ER

Has ribosomes attatched to it

Smooth ER

Acts as a factory warehouse; contains enzymes which make lipids. Other enzymes detoxify the cell. Lastly, this organelle stores ions.

Nucleus

Contains DNA

Nucleolus

Makes ribosomes

Cell wall

Protects cell & gives it structure

Ribosomes

Makes proteins for the cell

Golgi Apparatus

To recieve proteins and lipids from the rough ER and packs them into vessicals to send

Mitochondria

Turns nutrients into ATP (energy) for the cell

Vacuole

"Vaccums" out toxins released into the cell

Lysosomes

Holds enzymes (that break down molecules) that are made by the cell

Chloroplasts

Makes food for the cell through photosynthesis

Centriole

Arranges the chromosomes when the cell divides
