Describe the relationship between the organelles involved in the production and secretion of proteins.

- The gene containing the instructions for the production of the protein is copied on to mRNA

-mRNA leaves the nucleus through the nuclear pore

-mRNA attaches to a ribosome, which uses the instructions to assemble to protein

- Molecules are pinched of into a vesicle and travel towards the Golgi apparatus

- Golgi apparatus modifies the protein by adding a c-h chain to form a glyco-protein.

- It is then pinched of in to a specialised secretary vesicle where it is transported out of the cell via exocytosis.
