Describe the relationship between the organelles involved in the production and secretion of proteins.
|
1 - The gene containing the instructions for the production of the protein is copied on to mRNA
2-mRNA leaves the nucleus through the nuclear pore 3-mRNA attaches to a ribosome, which uses the instructions to assemble to protein 4- Molecules are pinched of into a vesicle and travel towards the Golgi apparatus 5- Golgi apparatus modifies the protein by adding a c-h chain to form a glyco-protein. 6- It is then pinched of in to a specialised secretary vesicle where it is transported out of the cell via exocytosis. |
