° IF third molars are present, film edge may be placed more distal to include all of the third molar • Contact between 1st and 2nd molars is OPEN * If taking vertical bitewings on a patient with 3rd molars, it is most likely you will need to take a 3rd molar bitewing to be able to cover all contacts adequately. |
