-SAR
-Large troop transport, recon parties, patrols, and outposts during field problems when no opportunity is provided for the a/c to shutdown after embarkation
-Shipboard Ops when landings are precluded (shall be responsibility of local commanders)
BLOOD DONATING STIPULATIONS
Minimum interval- 4 months
Flying in combat/shipboard environment- shall not donate within 4 months of flying
Shall not participate in flying for 4 days after donating 1 pint
Must obtain approval if flying before 4 days after donating
NIGHT HOUR MINS PER YEAR
12 hours annual /
6 hours semi-annual

Airfields listed in DOD enroute supplement when such ops contribute to:
Mission Accomplishment
Add value to training

CIVILIAN AIRFIELDS SHALL NOT BE USED FOR RON UNLESS:
Required for mission accomplishment and approval by wing/group commander is required. (RON is authorized for maintenance and emergency divert)
CLOSED AIRFIELD LANDING/TAKEOFF EXCEPTIONS: (2)
-In case of emergency
-Both a/c reporting custodian (unit commander) & CO of airfield have authorized. (may authorize touch&go, landing/takeoff w/o crash crew or control tower manned
Definition of IMC
Meteorological conditions less than the minimums specified for VMC. IMC conditions exist anytime a visible horizon is not distinguishable.
Definition of Instrument Time
The portion of pilot time in either day or night under actual or simulated instrument conditions
Definition of Actual Instrument Conditions
Conditions external to the aircraft in flight that do not permit visual reference to the horizon

SUBMISSION OF FLIGHT PLAN VERIFIES THE PIC/ FORMATION LEADER HAS ENSURED:
1. Flight has been authorized
2. Adequate flight planning data (including NOTAMs) was available for complete and accurate planning
3. Flight conducted in accordance with fuel/weather mins
4. Each pilot in a formation has received flight route weather
5. PIC/ each pilot in form possesses a valid instrument rating if flying IMC or positive radar control
6. Pax have been properly briefed/manifested
7. Proper weight and balance filed
8. PIC acknowledges responsibility for safe and orderly conduct of flight
NIGHT OVERWATER PAX TRANSFER TO/FROM SHIP
Prohibited except in case of OPERATIONAL NECESSITY
EXCEPTIONS TO BUYING NON-CONTRACT FUEL
-Mission Requirement
-Flight terminated as a result of an EMERGENCY
-Flight terminate at an alternate in lieu of filed destination
MINIMUM FUEL REQUIREMENTS
-Alternate not required: Takeoff to destination with 10% reserve
-Alternate required: Takeoff to approach fix thence to alternate, plus 10% reserve
PLANNED FUEL RESERVE
In no case shall the planned fuel reserve after landing be less than 20 mins of flight
(compute fuel consumption based on operation at planned flight altitude)
