GLUCOSE
Is the measure of sugar level in the blood
Iron
is necessarty for the formation of hemoglobin. Individuals with a low level of iron run a risk of anemia
Cholesterol and Triglycerides
are fats in the blood which have beeen associated with heart disease in some people.
CBC
is the single most ordered blood test. It is a serie\s of up to seven tests which all run from the same blood specimen.
CBC test may include
-Red blood count (RBC)
-White blood count (WBC)
-Hemoglobin (HgB)
-Hematocrit (Hct)
-Differnetial whit count (Diff)
BUN
Stands for BLOOD UREA NITROGEN. Urea is a by-product of protein metabolism and is normally in the blood stream in a predetermined level of concentration.
Arteriers / Arteriioles
-Carrier blood away from the heart
-Maintains arterial blood pressure at a normal level by vasoconstristion (narrowing of vessels) or vasodilation (widening of vessels)
-Normally brght red blood indicated oxygen richness.
-Have thick wall because the blood is under pressure from the action of the ventribles
-Carries fresh oxygen-rich blood from the lungs via the pulmonary veins.
