He hates big guys |
He hates the fact that he is a small guy and feels intimidated by the "big guys" because he is not as big as them. Curley wants to be the best at everything and his size is his downfall and so he tries to act like he is a man with power and the fact that his dad is the boss just adds to his power even more. |

Curley tries to accuse/scare slim but it doesn't work because slim knows that Curley has no power over his own wife and so he goes to blame other people for what he is supposed to be doing which is looking after his wife. |
