Crooks is discriminated throughout the novella because of his colour he has the same level of authority as a animal and is isolated from the other men Curleys wife goes into the barn when the other men have gone to the brothel and calls crooks a "nigga" however this would be a good time to establish some friendships yet she hinders this and wants to be superior towarda the more vunrable ...she then states to crooks" I could get you strung up on a tree so easy it ain't even funny" |
