COMBING HAIR
1. part the hair ino two sections, then separate hair into two more sections |
2. brush or comb from the scapl toward teh hair ends.

3. moisten hair lightly with water, conditioner, or an alcohol-free detangle product before combing
|
4. move fingers through hair to loosen any larger tangles
|
|
|
5. using a wide-tooth comb, start on either side of the head, and insert the comb with the teeth upward to the hair near the scalp. comb through the hair in a circular motion by turning the wrist while lifting up and out.

SHAVING (DISPOSABLE)
1. Place bath towel over client's chest and shoulders |
|
|
2. Run warm water in washbasin. check water temp.
|
3. place washcloth in basin, and wring out thoroughly. Appl cloth over client's face for serveral seconds.

|
|
4. apply shaving cream or soap to client's face (face, chin, under nose
|
5. hold razor in 45deg. angle to the client's skin. Begin by shaving across one side of client's face in direction hair grows.

|
6. use nondominant hand to gently pull skin taut while shaving.
|
7. dip razor blade in water as shaving cream accumulates on blade's edge.

|
8. after all facial hair is shaved, rinse face thoroughly with moistened wshcloth
|
9. assist client to comfortable position
|
|
|
10. return equipment to proper place. discard soiled linen. perform hand hygiene.

10. electric razor, apply skin conditioner or preshave preparations. After shave lotion as desired after.
