Hang Fire

A perceptible delay in the ignition of a cartridge after the primer has been struck by the firing pin

Misfire

Is the failure of a cartridge to ignite when the primer or case rim is struck by the firing pin.

Squib Load

Is a cartridge developing less than normal pressure or velocity upon conditions. A squib load can cause a bullet to fail to exit the muzzle and lodge in the bore.
