What does the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority (NJRA) do?
Established in 1996 through the NJ Urban Redevelopment Act, it may function as the municipal redevelopment agency for municipalities not otherwise having a redevelopment agency and those qualifying as "special needs districts." It may acquire property and undertake projects, and also provides technical assistance and assists with leveraging funding and tax exempt status for a number of eligible projects.

What is a Special Improvement District (SID)?
