Describe a bus topology.
It is where all computers are connected through the use of a single medium, typically a coaxial cable. The topology is passive, meaning that all interconnected systems remain on standby for requests. Both ends of the bus must be terminated in order to prevent data from being bounced back with 50 ohm resistors.

What is the main drawback of ring topology?
A single malfunctioning machine can cause the infrastructure to be inactive due to the fact that each machine must forward messages to each other before it reaches it's ultimate destination.
What is the maximum amount of nodes on a star topology network

1024

Describe circuit switching
It establishes a connection only when both parties are online. Due to the monopolization, circuit switching results in a lack of resources.
Describe packet switching
packet switching breaks packets into segments so that it is able to reach its destination better.
Describe mpls switching.
It adds a layer 2 segment in the osi packet that focuses on things like prioritization.
career sense with multiple access collision detection
csms/cd is how ethernet transmits data. It waits until a node is not busy and has collision detection through the network
Other then the obvios, what makes delay an issue?
csms can decreses it's effieciency
