Neolithic people were the first-ever farmers in Ireland they grew crops and farmed animals they also had more advanced tool than mesolithic people

They came from Britain on dug out canoes and wooden rafts so they could bring their seeds + animals

(Evidence came from céide fields County Mayo, Lough gur County Limerick, Boyne Valley, County Meath )

Not only were they farmers but they were also hunter gathers too.

Housing-evidence comes from Lough gur - Built circular/rectangular shaped houses. With wattle (hazel sticks) and daud (covered with cowdung)

Roofs were thatched made from straw or reeds. Inside had a hearth at the center for cooking, heat and light. Had a hole in the roof (a chimney). there houses were stronger because they lived in a permanent settlement.
