Exercise: Swimming laps at moderate pace, high impact aerobics, jumping rope, running 10-12 min/mile.
What is a MET?
METS are a unit of measure used to describe the amount of oxygen a body needs for a given activity. One MET is equal to oxygen consumption at rest or 3.5 ml of oxygen/kg of body weight/min.
