Joseph Goebbels

Following the Nazi seizure of power in 1933, Hitler created a Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda headed by Joseph Goebbels. This Ministries, and Joseph Goebbels main job was to ensure that the people of Germany heard throughout the streets about the Nazis through art, music, theater, films, books, radio, educational materials, and the press.

Concentration camp and killing center officials compelled prisoners to send postcards home stating that they were being treated well and living in good conditions to make the appearance of concentration camps were paradise when in reality when they were writing the post cards they were taking their "Showers" - "Gas-Showers".
