Environment: flat, prairie land with low rolling hills - four seasons - travel by walking or by travois (north) - first to travel by horse


Shelter: tipi - to move around a lot - earth lodges - once the could farm.


Food: hunted animal herds - bison, buffalo - learned to farm corn, beans, squash - horses used for hunting


Clothing: used lots of animal skins and furs - lion cloth - buffalo robes, belts

Region: Arctic


Environment: very cold, snowy and icy - rocky ground, rivers, glaciers, traveled by kayak and sled


Shelter: igloos (winter) - animal skin tent (summer)


Food: fish, berries, seal, polar bear, caribou, birds


Clothing: inner & outer fur suits, sealskin boots, snowshoes, loose fitting jackets
