Good morning Ms kumar and my homeroom friends.Today i stand here to tell you why you should vote for me for this important role as class captain. i hope i could be elected for 2014 7B class captain.

Firstly as class captain, I will always try to treat everyone equally and aim to live in harmony with one another.

secondly, it is a privilege to be a class captain, to be a class captain takes lots of responsibility. like going to meetings and bringing back information and special notices to the homeroom and other jobs. I think i could do this and follow the instructions that are given to me.

I promise to work hard to be the effective leader that you would be proud of. I will assist teachers and students in any way possible to the best of my abilities. I will always try to be respectful, responsible, honest, trustworthy and reliable.

lastly, i would always take my responsibilities very seriously and always with a smile. Acting responsibly and treating others the same is how i should act.

The job of a captain is not just about a badge or having the power to present assemblies or a board that has my name written on it but an opportunity to display my pride in my school especially for my teachers and fellow students. Thank you for listening to my speech.
