Define Fraternization?
Any personal relationships between an officer/enlisted, officer/officer, enlisted/enlisted, senior/subordinate, instructor/student which are unduly familiar and do not respect: differences in rank and grade
What is the Navy Policy on fraternization?
Fraternization is inappropriate conduct which is to be avoided. commands are expected to take administrative or disciplinary action as necessary to correct it.
Explain the effects on the command when fraternization takes place.
This type of behavior undermines the respect for authority which is essential to the commands ability to acomplish its military mission.
Define Sexual Harassment.
A form of sex discrimination that involves unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when: either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of a person's job, submission to or rejection of such conduct by a person is used as a basis for career or employment decisions affecting that person, or such conduct has the purpose or effecct of unreasonably interfering with an individuals's work performance or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment.
