Asbestos

Quartz (SiO2)
The most aboundent mineral in Earth's crust, used for some gems, used to control radio frequencies, and to keep tome in watches, makes up most sand grains and is used in making glass, many varieties including flint, jasper, agate, etc.
Calcite (CaCO3)
Makes up most limestone ( a major rock in the Shenandoah Valley), makes up most seashells, makes up most cave formations, used in making some types of lenses, used in cements and building materials.
