At first we enter the war because our ships are being sunk, and we win quickly,ending the war. President Wilson introduces the 14 points: 1-5 prevent war, 6-13 boundaries, and 14 league of nations. He created this to discuss things and meet with other nations, without resorting to war. The U.S. is not apart of this because Senate didn't approve it. There was much opposition of this and the Treaty of Versailles, promoted by President Wilson

9) Trench warfare
|
Armies fight for mere yards or gound. There were 3 main types of trenches in which they swapped positions: front line, support, and reserve trenches. They used dugouts and the area between called "no man's land." There was also horrific slaughter scale, not much ground exchange, and diseases such as trench mouth and trench foot.
