Pennsylvania's geography: Delaware River Valley had rich soil, minerals, and there rivers provided easy transportation.


Pennsylvania's Climate: Winters were cold and snowy but weren't as long as the New England Colonies. Hot summers.

Pennsylvania's Jobs

Farmers raised dairy cattle and grew vegetables,corn, and wheat. Other colonists where miners, craftsmen, lumberman, and merchants.

Pennsylvania's Go-vernment

All male property owners could vote for members of the assembly. Pen appointed the governor with the approval of the king.

New York's Establishment

So settlers could move westward.

New York's Geography: New York Harbor, the valleys of the Hudson and Mohawk River, and minerals ( good for mining ).
