Dirofilaria immitis (heart worms)

Spread by mosquitoes. System effected-cardiovascular. Mild persistent cough, reluctant to exercise, fatigue after moderate activity, decreased activity, weight loss, heart murmur, fluid retention, eventual heart failure.


Intramuscular injection of immiticide. Heart guard.

Rabies

Spread if bitten by an infected host. Flu like symptoms, increase to cerebral disfunction, anxietu, and insomnia. Treatable in humans by immediate medical attention and HRIG.


Non treatable in humans and animals by vaccines.
