What is metabolism

A sum of all biochemcial reaction that take place in a living organism. Which balances between brekaing down and building up essentials in our body

What is the role NAD +

They help to drive a reaction, they collect electrons through redox reactions, which eventually after harvesting electrons, is taken to the electron transport chain, where the NADH releases all the harvested energy to drive the activation of protein channels to allow H+ ions to be transported out of the matrix into the intracellular space which later drives chemiosmosis

What is cellular respiration

The process of oxidizing organic molecules to produce ATP

Where oxidation is the process of removing electrons from a molecule. In cellular repsiration NAD+ is the oxidizing agent

NADH loses its electrons to proteins embedded in the inner mitochondrial membrane, which eneter the electron transport chain to ultimatley reduce 02 to H20, and generate production of ATP by oxidative phosphorylation

Another main idea role of Nad
