Laparotomy

A large incision of the abdomen to explore or remove organs and tissues.

Laparoscopy

Visual examination of the abdomen using small incisions for insertion of instruments to view and remove organs and tissues.

Anemia

Deficiency of red blood cells (erythrocytes)

Leukemia

A cancerous condition of high numbers of abnormal white blood cells (leukocytes)

Leukocytosis

Only a slight increase in normal white blood cells as a response to infection

Carcinoma

A cancerous tumor arising from lining cells of internal organs. Ex. Adenocarcinoma

Sarcoma

A cancerous tumor arising from bone, cartilage, muscle and fat. Ex. Osteosarcoma

Diagnosis

Prognosis
