What is used as a barrier to protect skin from proteolytic enzymes and bile salts, among other things, in ostomy?

one third to one half full

Skin irritation needs to be prevented. Do this by use of?

ex: DuoDerm Stomahesive application of pouches drain insertion using normal saline to cleanse the fistula, then pat it dry DO NOT EVER let ostomy drainage come in contact with skin without immediately cleaning it as it is highly caustic! |

If appropriate, be sure to measure the effluent (drainage) from ostomy.
