Pediatric dosage- .1-.2 mg/kg IVP. IO up to 6mg if no effects may double dosage to max of 12mg/dose. Contra-2nd or 3rd degree AV heart block, VT, Sick Sinus Syndrome. SE-transient dysrhythmias, facial flushing, dypsnea chest pressure, hypotension, HA, nausea, broncho-spasm Note: blocked by theophylliness; but potentiated by dipyridamole, carbamezapine. |

RX- Cardiac Arrest VF/VT dosage- 300mg IVP may repeat 150mg IVP every 3-5 min with max dose of 2,200mg/24hrs. RX- Stable Wide Complex Tachycardias dose-Rapid Infusion- 150mg IV over 10 min, may repeat 150 mg IVP every 10 minutes to a maximum dose of 2,200mg/24hr.(mix 150mg in 100ml run at 10ml/min 0r 600 micro drop/min. Slow Infusion- 360mg IV over 6 hrs (mix 1000mg in 500ml run at 30ml/hr or 30 micro drips/min) Maintenance Infusion- dose-540 mg IV over 18 hours(mix 1000mg in 500ml run at 15 ml/hr or 15 microdrip/min Pediactric dose-5mg/kg IV/IO Contra-Cardiogenic shock, Brady cardia, second/third degree blocks; Dont use with drugs that prolong the QT interval. SE-Vasodilation, decreased BP/HR, AV Block,hepatotoxicity,VF/VT 40 day 1/2 life. |

Refractory CX Pain or Tachycardia secondary to excess sympathetic tone Dose- 5mg IV slowly over 5 minutes. Wait 10 min then give another 5mg IV slowly over 5 minutes. Contra- CHF,Bronchospasm, Hx asthma, decreased HR/BP, second/third degree heart block, cardiogenic shock SE- Decreased BP/HR, CHF,bronchospasm's, cx pain,H/A, N&V, Calcium Blockers may exacerbate SE. |

Don't give with oral Beta Blockers. Don't give in same arm as lasix, (without flushing first). SE- Hypotension, bradycardia, H/A, N&V, CHF, dizziness,weakness,diltiazem increase serum digoxin levels. |
