foreign exchange revenue
tourism brings in revenue from overseas
enclave tourism*
same as all-inclusive

- not exactly great for local economy since all the goods are being imported and ppl aren't leaving the resort
all-inclusive resorts*
The Organisation of American States (OAS) carried out a survey of Jamaica's tourist industry that looked at the role of the "all inclusives" compared to other types of accommodation. It found that although all inclusive hotels generate the largest amount of revenue their actual impact on the economy is smaller per dollar of revenue than other accommodation types. It also concluded that "all inclusives" imported more, and employed fewer people per dollar of revenue than other hotels.
gray water
non-industrial wastewater generated from domestic processes such as washing dishes, laundry and bathing; resorts are not helping out with building sewage treatment plants and thus the water gets put back into the watercycle in a filthy form
eco-tourism*
when protected areas are setup so people can come and see fish and go scuba diving, sometimes harms local fishermen
