Nothing but, only, nothing else but, do not do anything other than

밖에 + negative verb conjugation

밖에 can only be used with negative verb conjugation

밖에 + negative verb conjugation = ONLY verb

Noun + 밖에 + negative conjugation

Example 1

콜라를 마시다 - to drink cola

콜라 밖에 안 마시다 - to only drink cola

Example 2

돈이 있다 - to have money

돈이 없다 - to not have money

돈 밖에 없다 - to have nothing but money, to only have money

만 and 밖에 are sometimes interchangeable but...

밖에 is generally more widely used over 만

You can't use 밖 with imperative sentences (아/어/여 주세요) (do something for me)

You have to use 만 with imperative sentences (이것만 주세요 - give me this one only)

When the verb itself has a negative meaning (to hate, to be disgusting, etc)...

만 is more commonly used (ex: 저는 닭고기만 싫어해요 - I only hate chicken)
