frame story
The story within the main story usually told by one of the characters
External Conflict
Conflict outside character.

Where the audience knows something the charater doesn't

The story is told from a single standpoint but here the character is refered to in the third as he said she said. we only know the thought and feelings of one character.

resolution
The ending of the story. It occurs when the conflict ends and the outcome is clear

The problem or struggle between the character
and opposing forces.

a contrast between expectation and reality
Exposition
The beggining of the story that gives the background info of the characters and their situation.

Clues or hints that suuest future events in the story

- have been passed along for many years.

The antage point from which th story is told.

-old story that reflects some religious tragities and beliefs

Time and location of the story
