Hazen Foss

William Foy
African American fellow who was the first to receive visions. He received four visions all prior to 1844. He was excited when Ellen White recounted her early vision in his presence.
Abel Bieder
Watchmaker from Nimes, France who was encouraged by EGW to turn back to the Lord. He had become discouraged and was working on the Sabbath.
N.D. Faulkhead
Freemason who received a message from EGW. She had held on to the message for 12 months before giving it to him. While relating the Faulkhead what God had shown her, she made a couple of secret signs the angel had shown her that she could not possibly have known without divine revelation. As a result, Faulkhead turns away from freemasonry after the remaining 9 months of his term was done.
Health Reform Institute
This was the name of the very first Adventist medical institute in Battle Creek. It then became the Western Health Institute and finally, the Battle Creek Sanitarium

H.S. Case and C.P. Russell
The first critics of James and Ellen White. They charged that the White's were getting rich off the church paper and that they were placing Ellen White above the bible. They also charged that James was profiting at the expense of church members by selling bibles to them.
