RFQ

Prepared by an agency/client and made available to design professionals for their services. Generally issued to develop a list of consultants who are pre-qualified for project work for a fixed amount of time

Proposal for Professional Services

Prepared by the prime consultant with assistance from sub consultants. Includes a detailed scope of services and fee proposal.

Professional Qualifications Package

Prepared by the prime consultant with assistance from sub consultants. Does not detailed scope of work or fee.

Percentage of Cost Agreement

Professional compensation is based on an agreed upon percentage of construction cost (allows compensation for services rendered to track cost inflation)

Multiple of Direct Personnel Expense Agreement

Compensation determined by multiplying direct personal expenses (i.e. Salary, payroll burden) by an agreed upon factor or multiplier.

Flat Fee Agreement

Simplest form of agreement but requires complex record keeping of historical data to avoid guesswork/mistakes when determining compensation.
