Narrowing of the pyloric sphincter at the outlet of the stomach (overgrowth and hypertrophy)
pyloric stenosis
highest risk for pyloric stenosis and age of onset
first born, white, full term males; age of onset usually 2-8 weeks
classic sign of pyloric stenosis

begin PO with small frequent clear liquids (with glucose and electrolytes) 4-6 hours post op.

after feeding... keep head up, place on right side to aid of fluid flow through the pyloric shincter
